Korres Body Butter (50ml) - "an extremely rich and soothing cream for dry and chapped skin", it's got a nice scent that I can't quite place. Absorbs easily and is not greasy.

Studiomakeup Line Styler Pen (1.1ml) - a full size product from Studiomakeup. I had to Google this brand and couldn't find much, but it appears it's only sold in America and Canada. It's a carbon black eyeliner but did manage to smudge when I rubbed it after a minute, by then I generally expect a product to have dried. It claims that it can be removed by water, but you need eye makeup removed in my opinion.

Rose&Co Apothecary Rose Petal Salve (20g) - another full size. It's a decent enough moisturising salve, but the smell takes some getting used to. It's lightly tinted, enough for a very natural look.

Ceteum SCR Gold skincare (5ml each) -  Ceteum is another brand that's new to me, but is listed as one of the "Top 100 Beauty Brands" by Harpers Bazaar and a "breakthrough in skincare"that help maintain a youthful complexion that brightens the skin and eliminates uneven skin tones. These are tiny samples, too small to be able to judge on whether a skin product works or not, and especially whether it lightens/evens out the skin. They are £25 and £45 respectively.

Memo Paris Perfume (Les Echappees - Sundance) - Memo is a new line of fragrances designed by Clara Molloy (?) and this one is described as a "spicy tuberose underlined with pear": it's a very nice fragrance, something different to the fruity/floral things I usually go for but with a starting price of £69 it's not going to be repurchased.
Leonor Greyl Huile de Palme (25ml) - a pre-shampoo conditioner (?) with natural oils that will help dry and damaged hair. Well, I can't even review this stuff because the oil and what I'm assuming is the conditioning part have completely separated in the bottle, with the bottom looking as if it's crystallised. Sometimes things like this make me wonder where the samples are sourced from - is it because maybe they need to shift them, that they know about the defect with it? Even so it would have probably been too heavy for my greasy hair.

Finally we have a flyer to try RMK which is a Japanese brand that I've heard about in various Asian makeup blogs. This is to try mainly their skincare range, and I'll probably use this at some point. It has mid to high price ranges but I've no idea on the quality, yet.

I'm not impressed with this month. Especially after seeing that people who subscribed to this months box got an extra 2 samples than those who were already subscribed in addition to only paying £5 for the box. It's that age old problem where existing customers aren't getting the same offers as those who are new, but after 2 months - really BP?
Next month is the 3 strikes and out. I want to see something that really "wows" me or it's bye bye BP.

What do you all think of this months box?

  1. I really liked this months but i was one of those who got the extra two products. Bit harsh on already existing customers really!

  2. I too am pretty annoyed about the fact that they aren't rewarding us loyal customers. I mentionned it on my blog and got a few comments on the wall post on facebook regarding my comments, everyone seems to be of the same opinion!
With the pre-conditioner apparently it separates due to it being cold, if you pop it in a bowl of warm water it should separate out xx
